About

Adam Green HeadshotI’m an independent content strategist and copywriter based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Currently, I split my time between self-managed client work and projects that originate with my partner agency, Story Sells.

My practice combines strategic processes, creative collaboration, and an expansive digital marketing skill set developed over more than a decade in the business. Since 2010, I’ve wrangled content for large (and large-ish) companies, such as Microsoft, Verizon, Amazon, Bridgestone, Staples, Micro Focus, and Precor.

Nowadays, I collaborate with non-profit and progressive organizations working to support vulnerable individuals, protect the environment, or champion social justice initiatives. I also work with small, mission-driven businesses that provide valuable services to people in their communities.

I believe all of your content should align with specific, clearly defined business goals and speak directly to the burning desires of your target audience(s).

If it doesn’t, you’re probably guessing about what might work. Worse yet, you might be imitating someone else’s content because “that’s just how people talk in our industry.” I’m here to help you not do that!

Before absconding to the freelance life, I worked in sales and marketing at Vertafore, an enterprise B2B tech company focused on the insurance industry. I also taught writing classes at a community college in Atlanta and English as a Second Language at a high school in coastal Ecuador.

Did I mention I’m a full-time partner, dad, and punk rocker? I play guitar and sing in a punk band, and we are very loud.
